Paralegal Profile: Getting to Know Maxie Bryant

Jun. 19th, 2015   /

At the Law Offices of Aronberg, Aronberg & Green, we pride ourselves on being a small, family-operated law firm that puts client service ahead of everything else. Indeed, one of the key differences between our firm and those large personal injury law “factories” is that we’ve intentionally remained small as to maintain our close-knit atmosphere. Likewise, we deliberately limit the number of cases we take on in order to ensure that the clients we do sign up get the care and attention they need and deserve.

Our Delray Beach personal injury lawyers feel our clients and prospective clients should know exactly who will be handling their case; that’s why we’re starting a new type of blog, in which we will highlight members of our attorney team and staff so that readers can “get to know” who we are!

In this edition, we sat down with Maxie Bryant (one of our pre-suit Paralegals at Aronberg, Aronberg & Green) and asked her some “get to know you” questions.

AronbergLaw Blog: What is your day-to-day like at Aronberg, Aronberg & Green?

My job duties are very diverse.  On some days I am on the telephone a lot, either with potential new clients or speaking with existing clients about their medical treatment status.  I work closely with our clients’ medical providers to ensure once their treatment is finalized, we can promptly make a demand on our client’s behalf.  Other days, I may be meeting with new clients, preparing demands or sitting in on insurance company statements.  Some days are spent doing file reviews and prioritizing or organizing files for demand preparation.  It’s not unusual to come in with a plan for the day and then receive a phone call that changes the whole order of the day, so I have learned to be very flexible.

AronbergLaw Blog: What type of interaction do you have with clients? What does that involve?

I spend a lot of time getting to know our clients personally and strive to make them feel comfortable and confident that our firm is going to do our best to maximize their recovery.  If they’ve never been in an accident before, I am happy to walk them through the entire process up through demand and time of settlement.  I maintain contact with them throughout their case and keep them apprised of any new developments that will affect the outcome.

AronbergLaw Blog: How long have you been working at the firm and what have you enjoyed most about it?

I’ve been with the firm for two years.  I enjoy the one-on-one contact with people, which is why I enjoy the pre-litigation process.  Aside from my interaction with our clients, I have developed good working relationships with medical providers and their staff, as well as insurance adjusters.  I enjoy writing and I have the freedom here to do a lot of drafting.  I enjoy working for a firm that has integrity and a great staff.  I work very closely with our attorneys on case development and strategy, so I really appreciate the open-door policy here.  We all genuinely like each other and work well together as a team.  Information and research is shared so that all of us are always learning new and better ways to do things.  Our partners are very receptive to staff suggestions, which is also gratifying.

AronbergLaw Blog: What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I love to swim and I am learning to play golf, which is another great way to be outdoors and enjoy the South Florida area.  I’ve met many friends through the EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association) and have worked with them for four years now on a yearly charity event for breast cancer research and early diagnosis.
